118th Congress
Now that the House of Representatives is back in session after a 22-day speaker stalemate, Rep. Glenn Ivey (D-MD) joins Jim on "The Final 5" to weigh in on the election of Rep. Mike Johnson (R-LA) as House Speaker, and what he has to say about Republicans who say Democrats bore some responsibility for the gridlock.
"The murder of Circuit Court Judge Andrew Wilkinson outside his home in Hagerstown, Maryland is a tragedy. Our sheriffs, police and marshals must have the resources to do their jobs of guarding the linchpins of our legal system, judges. It is critical we protect these honorable civil servants so they can remain impartial and faithful to the rule of law. Judge Wilkinson will be sorely missed by the community and the judicial system. My condolences go out to his family, friends, and the legal community of Maryland,” said Congressman Glenn Ivey.
