"The murder of Circuit Court Judge Andrew Wilkinson outside his home in Hagerstown, Maryland is a tragedy. Our sheriffs, police and marshals must have the resources to do their jobs of guarding the linchpins of our legal system, judges. It is critical we protect these honorable civil servants so they can remain impartial and faithful to the rule of law.

Today’s horrific attack by Hamas against Israel is an act of terrorism against civilians, military personnel, and an ally of the United States. I condemn in no uncertain terms the violence visited upon the people of Israel from Gaza in the form of rocket attacks, infiltrations and hostage taking. There is no justification for terrorism.

What used to be a fist fight is now a gun fight. Today’s shooting is the result of too many guns on the street and too much bravado and bluster. These victims of violence were senselessly shot in Bladensburg after attending a funeral.
