PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, Md. — Congressman Glenn Ivey (D-MD) held his annual Prince George’s County Gun Violence Survivors Week Summit on Capitol Hill Friday.

WASHINGTON (NEXSTAR) – Rep. Glenn Ivey (D-Md.) was joined by family members of victims who were killed in shootings to discuss solutions to gun violence on Friday.

The event was the first major move by the organized Jewish community to pressure Qatar, but organizers were careful not to call it a protest

Maryland Democratic Rep. Glenn Ivey will host a gun violence summit on Capitol Hill next week. He joins FOX 5’s Tom Fitzgerald this Sunday, along with Tyreese Mcallister with the Ayana J. Legacy Foundation, a mental health therapist and an activist who lost her daughter to gun violence. They discuss gun violence legislation and the importance of combatting rising crime in the DMV.

Democratic U.S. House members have voiced frustrations with passing short-term funding bills after Congress last week again pushed through legislation that quelled fears of a partial government coming to fruition.
