Congressman Ivey's Statement on the Retirement of United States' Senator Ben Cardin

Today, Congressman Glenn Ivey, (MD-04) released this statement:

“Today, Maryland must give a big thank you to Senator Ben Cardin.  A public servant with a deep understanding of policy and politics, a Marylander who has helped every corner of the Free State and the United States, a family man and a friend, he will truly be missed. In the Maryland Statehouse and on Capitol Hill, Senator Cardin has been a thoughtful, hardworking, and honest representative for all.  A staunch Democrat, He stood up for our principles but worked with any of the colleagues when it helped Maryland’s children, families and less fortunate.  I extend my heartfelt thanks to you for your leadership and service.  I hope he and his wife Myrna enjoy time together and success in your future endeavors," said Congressman Glenn Ivey.
