Congressman Ivey Makes Statement on Anniversary of October 7th Terrorist Attacks
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Glenn Ivey issued the following statement on the anniversary of the October 7th terrorist attacks against Israel:
Today marks the two-year anniversary of the October 7th terrorist attacks by Hamas against Israel. On that dark day, innocent victims were brutally murdered and hostages taken from their loved ones. We pause to remember the lives lost and the families broken by this enduring tragedy.
Two years later, hostages remain in captivity and the devastating war continues, shattering the lives of so many people in Israel and Gaza.
As we reflect on this tragic anniversary, it is my sincere hope that the war can be swiftly brought to a conclusion, the remaining hostages released, the humanitarian crisis in Gaza ended, and a lasting peace achieved.
