Career & Technical Education (CTE) Programs

Career & Technical Education (CTE) provides students of all ages with the knowledge, training, and skills necessary to succeed in tomorrow's workforce. Students may gain real-world experience through internships, apprenticeships, job shadowing and industry certification. CTE students may opt to enter the workforce upon graduating from high school, or they may matriculate to a college or university.

CTE programs typically consist of:

Career Exploration: Helping students explore different career paths and make informed decisions about their future
Skill Development: Providing practical, hands-on training in specific technical skills related to various industries
Workforce Readiness: Equipping students with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in the workforce
Industry Certification: Preparing students to obtain industry-recognized certifications or licenses, which can enhance their job prospects
College and Career Readiness: Offering pathways for both immediate entry into the workforce and further education at colleges or universities

CTE programs often cover a wide range of fields, including healthcare, information technology, manufacturing, construction, agriculture, hospitality, automotive technology, and more. Entry level pay for those on a CTE path often exceed that of college graduates.
